Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Half Legs.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on hair growth, hormonal factors, and your aftercare routine. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hair finer over time. Maintain regular appointments for best longevity.
Some discomfort is normal during waxing, but sensations are brief. Exfoliate a day before, avoid caffeine, and arrive with clean, dry skin. We use soothing aftercare to reduce redness and sensitivity.
Hair should ideally be about a quarter-inch long (approximately 6mm) so the wax can grip effectively. If hair is too short we may ask you to wait for regrowth. We can advise on timing for your next appointment.
We avoid waxing over open wounds, sunburn, active rashes, or severely irritated skin. For mild sensitivity we can perform a patch test and recommend gentler waxes or alternative hair removal methods.
Avoid hot baths, heavy exercise, and sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Apply soothing lotion or aloe, wear breathable fabrics, and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. If you experience prolonged irritation contact us.
Many clients wax during pregnancy, but increased sensitivity and circulation can heighten discomfort. Tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding; we adjust techniques and choose gentler products for your comfort and safety.
